A beautiful antiquey variation to the traditional Queen Anne’s Lace. The blooms include shades of chocolates, burgundy, and mixed with some cream shades. Dara is great as a filler that has a nostalgic feel. It reminds me of my grandma and her hand-made doilies.

Growing Tips

  • Direct sowing is recommended after last frost lightly covering the seeds. Dara germination occurs best if they are exposed to the cold for at least 3 weeks. We will put seeds in the fridge or freezer for 3 weeks prior to sowing. We also grow these using the winter sowing method.

  • Watch for germination in 7-14 days.

  • Plant out when temps are still cooler. The do best in temps below 70 degrees.

  • Space about 3-5” apart in full sun.

  • They aren’t particularly picky about the soil

  • Plant will grow up to 50” tall.

  • 75-80 days to maturity.
