Calendula can be used in bouquets, interplanted for a trap crop for the flower chomping bugs, and dried for teas or salves. The leaves have a bit of a sticky texture, but you cannot beat their scent! Growing Tips
Direct sowing is recommended 1/4” deep. Plant seeds every 2-3 weeks for continuous blooms.
Sow indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost.
Watch for germination in 7-14 days.
Plant out after last frost.
Space about 6” apart in full sun to part shade.
They aren’t particularly picky about the soil.
50-55 days to maturity/bloom.
